K.C. visits a flea market in China
Today Richard and Justin and I went to Panjiayuan flea market. You could find everything there from calligraphy brushes to Mao era antiques. I bought an old film camera, Justin bought an abacus and Richard bought a painting. As well as an opportunity to shop, being there gave us a chance to practice our haggling skills. In most cases we were able to cut the starting price in half or even lower. After the market we went to a Mexican restaurant in Wudaokou called La Bamba. The food seemed surprisingly authentic for being this far away from Mexico. Tomorrow we have class so I will spend the rest of the night studying.
